Things i've been meaning to post
Not that anyone reads this blog anyway, but I felt I should post up some things from the last few weeks. This last thursday, K9 studios was host to a large number of students ranging from grade school age to high school age. These students were given the rundown of what goes on in our class, and some fun facts and so on. On this day I was stationed at a table along with a few other of my classmates, and we were to start drawing characters and putting them out on the table to give to the students if they wanted them. After the first few groups of grade school kids, I discovered that they all enjoyed walle and cars and flapjack and even UP characters like Dug! So, what do you do when you only have six minutes to satisfy a horde of children demanding cartoon characters? You draw a LOT of cartoon characters! I think I ended up drawing close to a hundred Wall-e's, Dug's, and various Cars characters each. Heck, I even snuck in a few Kevin's on the side, but for some reason he.... I mean she, wasn't so popular.
Oh, and here are a few very bad, very rough animations I did from the last few weeks.

Looking Ahead

So K9 is working like mad to finish up our Pirats film. With only 25 days left, we're doing our best to get it done and ready for presentation. On another note, I just wanted to share some news about what is happening with me in the next few months. I was just sent my acceptance letter from CSSSA! It's an awesome opportunity and I can't wait! On top of everything else, I've begun working on ideas for a film. I remembered one idea I had a few years back that I was fond of. So after a few days of doodling and messing around with story concepts, I've decided to make PROJECT M (above left), my main project this year. I shall leave it to you to figure out what PROJECT M, could be possibly be about.

News from the front
Pirats is in full production and the K9 crew is working like crazy. In the midst of deadlines, confusion, and all out chaos, I have found the time to update this blog of mine. This week, I have two little numbers for ya. The first is a piece of animation I did for my teacher. It's an advertisement for "being smart and going to school", as well as an advertisement for our film PiRats. The second is a rough walk cycle I did during class today. Rough being the key word, so to brighten it up a little, I added the face of one of my alltime favorite cartoon characters. Enjoy

Super Jurassic Raiders of the Lost Death Star

So the other day my cohorts and I were working fervently to finish our storyboards, and I thought I'd add a little something to boost our spirits and imagination. So what did I do? I turned on John Williams greatest hits! This sparked a conversation between us about our favorite john williams themes and at one point someone said "What would happen if some of John Williams movie themes were combined into one super movie?". The answer came like a Majestic Unicorn charging right at us... Super Jurassic Raiders of the Lost Death Star. From that moment we swore that whenever we could get the opportunity, we would make that film. But it will have to wait. Until then, I give the above sketch as an offering of what could possibly be the most awesome movie ever. Enjoy, and expect a finished version soon :)
